Welcome to the Boise Traffic Camera Network

This project has been a longtime project that I have been wanting to make to provide the commuters across the valley a quick and valuable access to the traffic cameras across the Boise Metropolitan Area.

The website uses two different sources:

The freeway traffic cameras page (which you started on when you visited here) contains 33 webcams, 26 of them are powered by the Ada County Highway District's Advanced Traffic Information System, which are updated every 3 minutes. Also, there are 45 Boise City and Meridian City cameras which are presented under the Boise/Meridian City area of the page. I have permission to use the images by authority of the Ada County Highway District.

The other 7 web cameras are refreshed every 10 minutes, and are provided as a service by the Idaho Department of Transportation's 511 division. These cameras provide an aspect of the freeway conditions from all over the state. 

I have permission to use the images by agreement of the Idaho Transportation Department as long as I at least make mention of the group in the images, which are designated by the ITD designation.
